Not according to Valve: the official Steam Deck compatibility review for Psycho-Sleuth rates the game Unsupported, and Valve's test results note that graphics performance on Steam Deck is not sufficient. That rating is the one to plan around if a handheld is how you want to play.

There is a wrinkle worth knowing about. A September 2026 demo update post said controller support was live and described the demo as fully compatible with Steam Deck. That was a statement about the demo build at that time, and it does not match Valve's current official rating for the release version, which remains Unsupported. The patch notes do not list any later change to that rating.

Does Psycho-Sleuth have controller support?

Yes. The Steam store page lists Full controller support for the game, so a gamepad is an intended way to play on a PC.

Can you rebind the controls?

Yes. A November 2025 demo update added hotkey customization, letting players rebind controls to their liking for both investigations and debates, alongside tightened pacing in Debate sequences. You can read the announcement on the Steam news hub.

That matters for handheld and gamepad players, since remapping is the usual first step when a default layout does not sit comfortably.

Can you play with only a keyboard or only a mouse?

Yes, both are listed as options on the store page: a Keyboard Only Option and a Mouse Only Option sit alongside full controller support. The store also lists adjustable difficulty, save anytime, playable without timed input, subtitle options, custom volume controls, color alternatives and stereo sound.

Note that Debate Mode is described in the official store description as testing "logic, instincts, and time management," so the no-timed-input listing is a store feature tag rather than a description of how every debate plays out.

Is the text readable on a small screen, and how will it run on a handheld?

There is no official word on text size or UI scaling for small screens, and the patch notes do not address it. Valve's listed reason for the Unsupported rating is graphics performance, not readability, so the two concerns are separate.

For performance expectations, the official PC requirements ask for a GeForce GT 1030 or higher, 8 GB of RAM and DirectX 11 at minimum, with 16 GB of RAM and 12 GB of storage recommended, at a recommended resolution of 1920x1080. Whether those targets translate to smooth handheld play is not something the official materials confirm, and Valve's test results point the other way.
